Aishwarya Rai Bachchan [3] (born. Aishwarya Rai, Tulu: ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯಾ ರೈ, Aiśvarya Rai?, pronounced [əjɕʋərja and and rəj]; November 1, 1973) is an Indian actress and former Miss World. Before the start of his career, he worked as a model and finally won the title Miss World in 1994. Rai has taken in more than 40 movies in Hindi, English, Tamil and Bengali, which include some of the international productions.

Often cited by media as one of the most beautiful woman in the world, [4] [5] [6] Rai film her debut Tamil film Mani Ratnam's Iruvar (1997) and was her first commercial success in the Tamil movie Jeans (1998). She gained the attention of Bollywood film Hum Dil through with Chuke Sanam (1999), directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Her performance won the Filmfare Best Actress Award. In 2002 she appeared in Bhansali's Devdas, for which she won her second Filmfare Best Actress Award.

After the setback in the implementation of his career in the period 2003-2005 appeared in Dhoom 2 (2006), which has proved its commercial success in India. Later she appeared in films like Guru (2007), Jodhaa Akbar (2008) and Enthiran (2010), which proved successful both commercially and critically. Rai has thus established himself as one of the leading actresses in Bollywood.[7] in 2009, he was honoured with the Padma Shri by Government of India.
