Kamal Haasan (Tamil: கமல்ஹாசன்; born November 7, 1954) is an Indian actor, film director and screenwriter, considered one of the main actors in Indian cinema.[1][2] he is widely acclaimed as an actor and is known for his versatility in acting.[3][4][5] kamal Haasan won many prizes, including Indian film four national film awards and Filmfare Awards and is known for having starred in the greatest number of films submitted by India in contest for the best foreign language film.[6] in addition to acting and directing, he also has been featured in film as a screenwriter, composer, singer, choreographer, and songwriter.[7] The film production company, Rajkamal International, produced many films. In 2009, he became one of the few Indian actors have completed 50 years in cinema.[8] kamal Haasan is also the recipient of an honorary doctorate by Sathyabama University.[9]

After several projects as a child artist, Kamal Haasan's breakthrough into lead acting came with his role in the drama Apoorva Raagangal in 1975, in which he played a rebellious youth in love with a woman. Became the second Indian National Film Award for the portrayal of guileless school teacher who tends a child like amnesiac in 1982 's Moondram Pirai. He was particularly known for its performance in Nayagan Godfatheresque for Ratnam the Tamil (1987), which was ranked by time magazine as the best movies of all time.[10] since then, he went to appear in other films notable as its own productions, Hey Ram and Virumaandi and Dasavathaaram, which appeared in ten separate
Kamal Haasan was born in Paramakudi town in Ramanathapuram district of Tamil Nadu, a criminal lawyer named d. Srinivasan and his wife Rajalakshmi.[59] he was born a Brahmin Iyengar.[60][61] Kamal Haasan was the youngest of four children, the other Charuhasan, Raghu and Nalini Chandrahasan. His father was a martinet. Like all of his sons (Chandrahasan, Charuhasan, Kamalahaasan) to study and do well. The two older brothers followed the example of his father and studied law. The niece of Kamal (daughter of Charuhasan), Suhasini is also a winner of the national film award and is married to Director and fellow Prize winner Ratnam, who collaborated with Kamal Haasan in Nayagan, 1987.[63] Chandra Haasan appeared as producer on several films as Kamal Haasan of Kamal Haasan's home production company, Rajkamal international. Brother's daughter Anu Hasan has appeared in many films in supporting roles, notably Indira of Suhasini.[64] his sister Nalini Raghu is a dance teacher. Kamal Haasan is named after a lecture later her sister as Nalini Mahal.[65] his son, Kamal Haasan played Gautham, grandson of friend, Hey Ram.
