The Film was originally filming in Mauritius.[10] However, at the request of Salman Khan, the location was changed to Sri Lanka.[10] Khan described his decision to pick Sri Lanka as its proximity to India and its landscape suitable for Indian productions.[9]
Filming began on June 20, 2010 in Columbus, Ohio.[11][12 first filming schedule spanned over 27 days in locations in Colombo and the nearby curvature, [12] in which about 40% of the filming was completed.[13] the second schedule of shooting was to begin in October 2010, but was postponed due to eye problems faced by Salman Khan.
