Mumbai is at the heart of turf war between many gangs, collectively referred to as the Mumbai underworld when Satya (j. d. Chakravarthy), a man without a past, arrives in town looking for employment. While waiting tables at local bag dance bar, involved in a battle with Jagga (prejudiced on January), gets himself man for dreaded Don guru Narayan (Raju Mavani). Jagga takes his revenge by getting Satya arrested trumped pimping. In jail, Satya conflicts with another Member of the Mumbai underworld mafia don Bhiku Mhatre (Manoj Bajpai), who is in prison awaiting trial for the murder of a prominent film producer. Mhatre, pleased with Satya zagamers, extends a hand of friendship and arranges for his release, and housing. With the help of Mhatre, Satya avenges himself by Projecting that Jagga in same line dance and joins Mhatre's gang.
Prior to the introduction to that same, Mhatre was part of a gang that included himself, Kallu Mama Akashio guru (Saurabh Shukla) and the lawyer Chandrakant Mule (Makrand Deshpande). Bhau Thakurdas Jhawle (Govind Namdeo), presently a corporator in the Mumbai municipal corporation, was head of the gang. After Jhawle joined politics, the gang divided into two with Kallu and Mule joining Mhatre and Narayan going his own way. While gangs had carved out their own territories which were off limits rival gang, two still maintains a relationship with Jhawle. Jagga's assassination breaks the uneasy truce and Narayan reneges on his promise, attacking Mhatre's gang when they are away on business. Mhatre decides to kill Narayan but is forced to abandon his work at the last moment on orders from Jhawle. the murder of right on the eve of the municipal elections would result in a gang war and would be detrimental to political perspectives of Jhawle. Meanwhile Satya, who has risen up the ranks and become a key decision maker in the gang, has been fulfilled and to fall in love with Vidya (Urmila Matondkar who called), an aspiring playback singer who lives next door, but not informed of his underworld connections. At one point he even threatens Music Director, and gets him to sign with a project, with Vidya who do not know the entire episode.
Says Satya about Mhatre, smoking Jhawle's orders to stay away from Narayan to ignore him and the murder of Narayan. Mhatre is now undisputed ruler of the underworld and Jhawle, knowing that we must help the Mhatre to win the elections, patches together. I.e., when the city sees the appointment of a new Police Commissioner, Amodh Shukla (Paresh Rawal). Shukla and his force begin targeting Mhatre's gang through encounters. Satya, seeing the situation quickly convinces the gang that the Commissioner must be eliminated and gets him to kill. Police responding by intensifying repression. Jhawle WINS thanks to Mhatre elections muscle energy and public anger over the violent methods approved by the police in their fight against organized crime. In the middle of, Satya and Vidya decided to catch a movie. Inspector Khandilkar (Aditya Shrivastava), a tipoff that Satya is present in the Chamber, film, installations and machinery orders to close all ports. Satya fires a weapon, indicates an attack which resulted in many deaths and escapes with Vidya. But the man who is not afraid of death now fears for Vidya's life. He decides to leave the underworld and reveals its decision to Mhatre, who decides to send them to Dubai where they would be safe.
Jhawle holds a feast to celebrate his victory and invites Mhatre, Mule and Kallu to attend the same. During the Jubilee shoots Mhatre dead for voter commands and sends Kallu along with mule to kill Satya. Satya, aware of Mhatre's death, flees to Vidya and finds himself one last time, but must flee when the police arrive. Khandilkar spills the beans in front of Vidya. Kallu returns to Headquarters, kills Mule instead of Satya and informs Satya about Mhatre's fate. Satya takes his revenge by murdering Jhawle during the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, but suffers a bullet wound in the process. Satya returns to Vidya's House to meet, but refuse to open the door. Managed to break open but Khandilkar, who came to arrest him, shoots him several times. Satya collapses a few centimeters away from Vidya's feet and breathes his last.
